Market Enabler doesn't work with Market 3.1.5 on SGS2 #144

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. SGS2 stock 2.3.4 FW KI4
2. Market 3.1.5
3. Market Enabler 3.1.1.2
4. Market Enabler Donate Key 2.1

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When choosing T-Mobile (US), we should be able to use US Android Market store.
Instead, I see the store for my region.

Same issue with CM7.1
Samsung SGS2.

So basically, because I'm in China, I cannot use CM7.1 because I need access to
another market than the Chinese one to download Gmail and Google Maps... (which
are installed separately from CM7.1)

Same issue with HTC Desire running CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1.
Market enabler has no effect on Market 3.1.5.

I uploaded a fix in 3.1.1.3 and tested it with Market v.3.4.4

Basically I just also delete the ssl chache as they have two cache directories
now, I just added the second directory into the rm command.

Using SGS2 with stock (european unbranded) rom, Market 3.4.4 and Market Eabler
3.1.1.3, but still can't see Music, Movies and Books categories in Market.
How is that fixed?

@mjeshurun This is another issue, but this issue was about the core
functionality itself not working correctly with Market 3.x

I've just looked a bit into the software side of Music but haven't found the
settings to change that they show up in first place.
Anyway if you have a link, you can go directly to an album and if you have a US
checkout account with US adress and espesially US credit card associated, you
can buy the music.

@michel.racic Thanks for the info. From all of us devoted Market Enabler and
Market Enabler Donation Key users is there any chance you'll be able to fix the
second issue too? It would be great if we could see the Music, Movies and Books
categories in the first place.

Cheers!
