With 409 forks, you have plenty to choose from.
Check this out for a active fork: https://techgaun.github.io/active-forks/index.html#dvandal/cryptonote-nodejs-pool
@trasherdk that's an interesting mindset...
Well @javabudd It's a solution to his question/problem.
The question was “is the project dead?”, not “what questionable alternatives are there for this repo?”.
If an author of a widely used project just ups and deletes everything I think it’s fair for an explanation. Telling someone to just “use a fork” is a poor response.
Okay. Don't use a fork.
What happened who offended the muscleman?
It is really bad thid repo is down
the question from the original poster has not been answered, and some of us would really like to know what is happening here, any updates would be appreciated.
The repository has been wiped by muscleman ...
@dvandal Do you know the reason for this action?
Sorry but I don't know why he did this... :(
No body had any issues removing the dev fee after forking the project and using countless hours of my time getting setup help. so I thought you all could maintain your own code base. I'm maintaining a private version for those who appreciate my work.

There is a problem with maintaining a private version and releasing it with no source.. The project is GPL and under GPL you can modify and use code however you'd like under the condition it remains public.. You do deserve reward for your time 100% but this is not the way to do that..
@Dvandal I have git backed up if you'd like to restore proper git history.
I'll probably restore content once I get a unchangeable dev fee implementation

That is the most pathetic response imaginable. You are an embarrassment to open source coders, good luck in your “private” endeavors.
Seriously @muscleman ? I agree with @javabudd

Open source coder expects monetary gain from open source packages
Incorrect. Recognition. Who's getting rich here?
A simple thanks goes a long way
Anyway I'm sure javabud will contribute great stuff
A simple thanks goes a long way
So you’re gonna be a child and take your basketball home because people didn’t give you recognition? You wrote something useful that was downloaded thousands if not hundreds of thousands of times, and now you want praise?? People are going to remove your stupid dev fee if they can, that’s the point of open source software...
Guess everyone has an opinion

@muscleman I can't, you deleted the source code.
As a coin developer, I totally understand that for some projects "dev fee" is justified... But I don't agree that wiping repository belonging to someone else is the right solution.
I lean on always recommending "original" repository instead of one of the forked repositories as then all the fixes required for various coins can be integrated in single codebase.
This includes for example modifications required for my own coin. After all, nodejs-pool is supposed to be universal pool software, not software designed for single coin like forks of forknote-pool.
It doesn't really matter what anybody feels/thinks. This dude took a decision, and that's that. Move on. I will ague that those guys who spend a lot of time coding, should receive some kind of % or recognition for work/time spend. Shit ain't free. I don't believe in forcing someone else to bend into whatever ...
As a side note: I'm not acyually using this software, but enjoy looking over the code once in a while.
@muscleman I came to you within a couple days of this happening and you said that you were going to help not hurt this project... You F&*KING LIED TO ME!!! I won't believe another damn thing you say!!!! You are not a trustworthy person... Not to mention that the pool admin page says one thing, and the wallet doesn't have the funds in there for what the admin page says... ARE YOU SKIMMING?!?!? I set the donation to 0, does that mean you've set something up to make it default to 100%??? This is absolute SH!T!!!
This is just my honest opinion on the matter but since this pool software doesn't have any sort of pool fee payout function I am now going to migrate on to something else... Anyone that would be willing to help me add this functionality to the pool software and a couple other things, I have the code forked... How are we as pool operators supposed to get our fees from the wallet when we're not coders programmers or anything of the likes??? @dvandal Can you please help?? I don't really care who helps but I think that this software COULD BE THE BEST... Only a few little things that need to be fixed... Can anyone help??!??
@LOUD-Mining On my pool I did set my wallet as one of the donation addresses to get pool fee on external wallet. For it to work on any nodejs-pool, the external wallet address must be added to the pool configuration and there must be opt-in configuration flag to enable it.
Sending part of the pool fee to external wallet helps with coins that have limit for transaction sizes, as it will make sure the pool wallet doesn't have large amount of small outputs.
Is the project dead? The entire repository has been deleted ....
