Hi @menelic, thanks for the kind words. 😊
I think your request makes sense, though I think it will be a bit tricky to implement since the annotation authors don't appear to be present in the notes that are created via the "Add Note from Annotations" feature. I've pulled this out into #332 so that we can keep track of it separately.
Thanks so much for your work on this plugin. Can I ask about functionality?
At the moment, Notero automatically adds a Zotero entry to my Notion database as soon as I added it to a monitored collection. However, it doesn't automatically extract annotations from Zotero. I have to manually right click and 'sync to Notion' for this to happen. Is this the intended functionality or have I missed something in the setup?
Thanks!
Hi @cappuccinomonkey, thanks for your question!
This is indeed the current functionality, but I'm working on adding automatic syncing of notes. Once I have it working, any notes you have for synced items should automatically sync along with the item.
I'll be sure to post in this discussion once this is released!
@asimukaye, I'm glad you found that workaround for extracting annotations to a note. Currently, that's the only method supported for syncing annotations. And you're correct about the limitation regarding images—that's currently not supported by the Notion API.
@ThomasDeLange, could you clarify which toggle heading you're referring to? In the below screenshot, are you referring to A or B? Perhaps I can make this a configurable option so that users can customize to their liking.
I think it's a great idea to be able to configure the body in Notion. I prefer less nesting of headings so that everything appears at once!
Hey everyone, I'm super excited to share that automatic syncing of notes is finally available in v0.5.0! 🎉
Please give it a try and let me know what you think!
Awesome Dave, thank you so much !
Would it be possible to not have a few levels of indentation ?
Hi @Pierre-Debraux, thanks for the feedback already! I'm going to follow up with you in #316 so that we can keep that related discussion together.
Hi, I'd really like to thank you for providing such an amazing plugin. I am really grateful since this simplifies my workflow by a significant extent and saves me a huge effort.
However, as part of my workflow, I do annotate and comment in the pdf files attached to every item in my zotero collection. I use the zotfile extension to extract those annotations out as a separate item. Is it possible to sync these extracted annotations to notion as well?
