Survival of the Fittest

Implement the "Survival of the Fittest" House Rule as a game option.

This is an official Cards Against Humanity House Rule.

After everyone has answered the question, players take turns eliminating one card each. The last remaining card is declared the funniest.

Incompatible with "God is Dead".

I haven't played with this rule before, but I feel like some things may need to be considered to avoid there being a perception of imbalance in the game.

To be fair at all, we still need to track a "Card Czar" position so that the voting sequence rotates around the table and nobody is always voting first/last/Xth each round.

Now, assuming:

• Czar votes first.
• Votes proceed clockwise
• Rando is not playing, and nobody is Gambling

Then the player immediately to the Czar's right will not have a chance to vote even though they have a stake in the round.

We could negate the imbalance by having the non-voter also not play the round. Simply move the start of the voting process to the player immediately left of the Czar, and have the Czar not play. This would be roughly similar to normal gameplay except that the Czar is no longer participating in the round in any real capacity whatsoever. This also deprives the Czar of scoring opportunities that Survival of the Fittest could grant him, which would not be present in a normal game.
