Hi David, Here are some changes I made. The commit messages explain them, so no need to repeat them here :)

I've added a minor fixup commit (please squash), and two additional fixes I had noticed. The last one, in particular, can be surprising to someone who accidentally hits 'Break'.

Thanks a lot for the fixes! I picked them all up (and merged the fixup into the other commit). They all make sense. However, I left the scroll-lock/pause code as it is but disabled it. I need to check xterm and others before removing this eventually. The LED feature is nice. I just need to get the input-core to sleep again.
