Can you make a python2.6.6 version? I work with a Cloudera Cluster that uses python2 and cannot be upgraded.

It may take much effort to be compatibled with 2.6 . Since python 2.x is no longer sopport by official, I think you could convince the OP to upgrade cdh config .
