Hi there!

This project looks interesting, but I am a little concerned that package versions are not explicit ("v1" simply is a commit message). Could you consider using github releases? or at least git tags (named commits)? This would allow easier reference to a specific state of the repo.

Bonus point, providing a release archive or a tag would make it possible to create a conda recipe on Bioconda. And I think this could facilitate deployment.

What do you think @dviraran ?

Hi,

You are 100% correct. I'll create a release from the current version, but I don't really have the capacity now to do anything beyond that. I would be more than happy if someone from the community will be interested in creating appropriate releases...

Thanks @dviraran, I will have a look into creating a conda recipe for Bioconda. I'll keep you updated in this issue!
