Here's some features MF lacks compared to standard outliners.

Make it possible to "hide" children of a node by clicking / commanding a parent node.
Drag/drop, and multiple selection of nodes in such a fashion.
Ability to "hoist" a certain part of a header hierarchy, to hide everything else.

Littleoutliner.com is a good demonstration of more/less what I have in mind.
