this apparently only pertains to non-paperwhite, 3rd and 4th gen kindle e-inks. Update: it also apparently breaks iBooks iOS, though not nearly as bad.

The workaround is, of course, to not include this on the body element.

I have also confirmed this affects first gen Kobo Arcs as well
