Epigenetic Gestational Age (eGA) Acceleration Calculation

• Calculate epigenetic GA (eGA) acceleration as the residuals from the model fit that predicts eGA as a function of reported gestational age (GA).
• Alternatively, calculate the eGA acceleration as the difference between eGA and reported GA.

Comparison of eGA Acceleration Between Groups

• Compare eGA acceleration between the sub-groups for term and preterm samples separately:
  • Preterm labor (PTL)
  • Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM)
  • Preeclampsia (PE)
  • Small-for-gestational-age (SGA)

Rather than comparing between the sub-groups, test whether the measures eGA acceleration are significantly different from zero to determine if there is acceleration or deceleration.

I'd like to modify the plots generated here to include an estimate of eGA acceleration above the boxplots. This would allow us to estimate eGA acceleration and compare both the magnitude and direction across different clocks.
