Open c-ehrlich opened 2 years ago

c-ehrlich commented 2 years ago

Describe the bug

When clicking the date to view the widgets in MacOS, the section of the menubar that has the hidden menubar items under it flashes (see video)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add some menu bar icons to the hidden section
  2. Click the date to open widgets
  3. (does not happen when opening widgets in another way, for example 2 finger swipe)

I met exactly the same issue, my platform is M1 pro with osx 12.4, hidden bar version 1.8(12)

I also met exactly the same issue, M1 air with MacOS 12.4, hidden bar version 1.9(13)

Having the exact same issue...

Datta0 commented 2 years ago

Hey @c-ehrlich , I had the same issue. I went to menubar settings in system preferences and enabed "always show date with time" and the issue is resolved. Previously it was "only when space is available". I think this hidden caused menubar to confuse about "space"

@Datta0 thanks for sharing the tip!

Thanks ! @Datta0

That's a great workaround for the issue, and it's worked for me as well!

Using an Intel-based MBP. macOS 12.5.1
