I start the app but there are no changes to the Menu bar. Does this work on the laptops with smaller screens?

You need to manually move the icons on the left of the | (bar) icon. It works on my MacBook Pro 14 M2 Pro exactly as on my MacBook Air M1

Probably the arrow icon is under the notch, change the resolution to be able to move it to the desired place.

I am facing the same issue (moved to a 14" MBP with notch just 2 days ago). Can the design be changed to open a drawer/bar below the main menu bar? That would solve the notch issue

Doesn’t work on my 14' MBP too. I can’t find the vertical line to set icons to hide

Same here. (MBPro 14", Ventura 13.4.) I can see the caret icon (<) but there is no vertical line/pipe icon (|).

Same for me on a 14 inch MBP. The caret is showing, but the pipe icon is not there. I have removed all other icons, but it is still not showing.

Same here. MBP 14", Ventura 13.5. Can't see the vertical line icons.

~Same on MBA M2 13", Ventura 13.4.1. Missing vertical line.~ Right-clicking the caret in the menu-bar toggles the vertical pipe on/off.

I also had issues with a Macbook Pro 14" (M3 Pro). I was toggling with the caret and using the command (⌘) to move icons, but nothing seemed to move the needle as I could never see the vertical pipe. I was just about to uninstall the tool when I saw the note about right-clicking the caret in the menu. That was the missing piece!

Thank you @franciscolourenco!
