In the examples meeting, we discussed removing all files except for the readme, .circleci/, and license files. I am not sure that this is a good idea. If we are not changing the name of the repository, then it's confusing if the 'template' repo isn't actually a template. I think it makes more sense to clarify our instructions on how to use this repository, rather than turn it into a non-template repo.
