This will probably need the Board Room since that seems to be the only space with a Projector, on the hours where Lightning Talks aren't on.
Definately this shouldnt be anything to do with the discipline of the presenter, I think it would work better with random powerpoints off the Archive than with people's own powerpoints. The times I've done it, the slides are pretty random with few or even zero words just images, so that its up to the creativity of the improvisor.
This could also happen in the packing room, where there is a projector and screen at night. That's the hacker space during the day. Ask Jefferson Bailey how they did it.
Idea
During my IA tour, I heard something about a PowerPoint Party where people had to imprompt present on random PowerPoints found in the Archive, think it'd be an awesome activity at DWeb Camp and make use of @mitra42's offline node with those PowerPoint assets. Then @jonah-archive told me about the Military Industrial Powerpoint Complex Karaoke! blog post. Let's do it :D
Proposal 1
@mitra42 has done this a few times apparently, so we do this same activity again!
Proposal 2
We put a folder in our Shared Drive where Camp participants will drop their past slides, publish them onto a dweb protocol so it's just a hash, and people pick from those to present :) I think this will only work if both the presenters and slide decks are diverse, and most of the time people end up presenting something completely outside of their discipline.
