Selecting "Settings" or "Rescan library" from menu on launch before server connected crashes

The best solution is probably to display a "Connecting.." modal dialog when trying to reach the server on initial launch, blocking interaction with the rest of the UI. It should be cancellable, and if canceled should go to the "Choose server" dialog
