Links to notes in reference database broken

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. configuring the reference database
2. adding a note name and corresponding note text to a page in the
reference database namespace using the namespace template
3. linking to the note name

What is the expected output? a link to the note text in the appropriate format

What do you see instead? a broken link in the appropriate format

DokuWiki 2009-02-14, RefNotes 2009-09-12, PHP 5.1.6

Please provide any additional information below.

My original post (http://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:refnotes#discussion) was
in error: the link exists, but it is broken. In my post I stated nothing
was displayed.

Could you try to replace $settingName by $name in lines 33 and 34 of config.php?

This doens't appear to work. See

which uses the modified config.php.

Browser cache, yes. Is there a cache store on the server also?

Yes. http://www.dokuwiki.org/caching

The easies way to test is to see if it works in Preview during editing.

BTW, do predefined notes work, for example, [(todo)]?

Perfect! My mistake, sorry about that. I tried the preview during editing and the
reference appeared as required. Predefined notes also work. Problem solved.
