Import by URL is currently not enabled in the Sandstorm package because it requires the app to make external network requests from the server. (See https://blog.sandstorm.io/news/2015-06-10-network-access-permission-android-vs-sandstorm.html .) My plan is to wait until the powerbox UI is ready before enabling this feature. I think it would be possible to enable before then, using HackSession like the TinyTinyRss package does, but that would be a temporary and ugly hack, and I prefer to wait until we can do it right.

It looks like an awesome app but unless I can point it at my music its quite useless as I'm not going to upload my entire library into a grain just to listen to some music :-) Once it can make external requests, would we be able to point it to a network share with music to play from?

I don't mind just downloading/uploading music to get it in, but I've heard this request a few times today.

Thought I'd comment here and keep this issue alive. I'd still love to see Import by URL enabled. How far along is the powerbox UI?

I see this issue has not been commented on in a while. Since the powerbox UI is now available, could this feature request be pushed through?
