Rather than have performance, security, DDOS protection and analytics be an afterthought and force people have to manually install addons/plugins (WordPress!!), I suggest we broadly adopt CloudFlare https://www.cloudflare.com/ as the preferred solution from Day 1.
Yes, its always "risky" to put all our eggs in one basket ...
We should make it optional if people prefer not to use the service its up to them,
but we should have it as strong recommendation as setup only takes 5 mins and the benefits vastly out-weigh the "costs" ... (*its free for small websites and only $20/month for large!!)
