3 things to get done for today #180

As a human who determines my top 3 priorities on a daily basis to ensure focuses productivity, I would like to be able to set these on the first screen I see when I open the app every day (including a short cut for 'same as yesterday') and have these 3 show up as 1-click shortcuts on my time tracker to save me time without having to scroll and look for these during the day.

Sketches to follow when I'm near pen and paper.

@iteles my aim in life is to never have more than one priority. Three sounds like a lot of priorities.

Priorities is definitely the wrong word 🙈 '3 things I want to get done today'!

Why: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jeffboss/2017/01/19/5-reasons-why-goal-setting-will-improve-your-focus/#58b216f0534a

Goals trigger behaviour: mobilizes your focus toward actionable behaviour Goals guide your focus: a mental cue that triggers focus and motivates you for action Goals sustain momentum. Seeing progress is addicting. No seriously, it’s literally addicting because of the dopamine released in your brain after attaining a reward.

Peace of Mind Too often you can have many things on your mind. Writing down your goals can help you take all of those ideas, apply perspective and priority, then galvanize you into commitment and action https://the-happy-manager.com/tips/benefits-of-goal-setting/

Most of what I've read indicates that working on the one highest priority thing per day is ample. And attempting to do "too much" is a recipe for achieving nothing. Been reading "Make Time" and "one thing" is the first chapter. https://maketimebook.com/how-it-works/
