I have been thinking about encouraging habits of happiness.
One of the most proven things to increase your happiness is to write a gratitude list. This is something some people love doing and others think is all rubbish.
To this end, I was thinking it would be really great to have a ‘3 things’ whiteboard in each bunk where at the end of the day you could write out your 3 things and they’d be there for you to see first thing in the morning.
The higher tech version would be to do this in the app but we don’t want people to use phones at night. Lots of variations are possible here.
But this also got me thinking: there are two ‘3things’ lists. A gratitude list to increase happiness and a ‘top 3 things for tomorrow/this week’ to increase focus and effectiveness.
My hypothesis is that they are both likely to be filled in if they’re right there, front and centre every day when people go to bed.
