I would suggest these images should be wide but short wherever possible. Forcing people to scroll more just adds to the tendency to glance instead of read (i.e. Once you've started scrolling past a large thing like a tall image, you tend to keep scrolling a lot at a time rather than a little - particularly if you have a short attention span or just want to 'get to it').
We briefly had this image in after submission of the Issue: But @iteles suggested it was "too big": https://github.com/dwyl/contributing/pull/63#pullrequestreview-18510563 And I agree... 😞 We need small images that don't cause people to scroll more than they have/need to... Please suggest an alternative. thanks! 👍
Essentially we want to "break up" the content into distinct chunks and having a section heading image is a good way to help signal to people that is a new section...
I have spent a few minutes searching for a good image/picture we can use for the "Validate Issue" section ...
