The (Emergency) Exit Doors in Braga will be used by people with reduced mobility, specifically people who are wheelchair-bound and may have difficulty opening the door(s).

The proposed EU Legislation is: "European Accessibility Act": http://www.europarl.europa.eu/RegData/etudes/BRIE/2017/603973/EPRS_BRI%282017%29603973_EN.pdf Will require "accessibility" to all public buildings. Braga will not technically be public, however we are running a biz so the legislation will apply to us when it is approved by the EU.

Also the UN "Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities" http://www.ohchr.org/EN/HRBodies/CRPD/Pages/ConventionRightsPersonsWithDisabilities.aspx#9

"identification and elimination of obstacles and barriers to accessibility"

Also, I feel that making "Home" as accessible as possible is the right thing to do.

The ebay price (including "free" shipping) is £317.81 for the "basic" kit. (I don't think we will use the remote controls as they will easily be lost/broken and/or cloned which is a security risk!)

Kit motor batente VIDUE 2F Ref.16392971 €299 http://www.leroymerlin.pt/Site/Produtos/Eletricidade/Domotica-e-seguranca/Mecanismos-portoes/16392971.aspx image It appears that the kit includes two motors so we could get both doors for €299 + €60 if we can replicate the electronics using cheaper components ... 😮
