Getting the swimming pool/spa/sauna completed

Moving on from https://github.com/dwyl/home/issues/90 which I'm keeping open to catalog the original set of works done with Azul Piscinas.

Step 1 and the most urgent is the pool and getting it to a usable state ☀️

Piscinas Ramos was here a couple of weeks ago and I spoke to Almeno Silva who is the guy in charge of the maintenance teams on Friday.

When they were here, they:

• Had the electricity switched on to the pool grid
  • This switched on the filter motors but the spa motor started to smoke up the room so they switched that one off manually and left it off
• They cleaned out the pool sand filter and left this on
• Scrubbed the inside of the pool
• Shock treatment for the water

I will call again this week and the plan is that they will put us into the rotation for next week.

Two things to consider @nelsonic:

• He said that they didn't touch the water but speculated that having the filters working again may have set something in motion that was malfunctioning before to start up again and cause the water dump we saw in our bill 😞
• He said they would need to do at least two more shock treatments because of the state that the other guys left the pool in
  • I questioned whether it would be better to just clean the pool out properly and refill it and he suggested that by the time you were done with treatments and such, you would end up with better quality water (not highly treated with chemicals) and much faster for likely the same or cheaper cost if you were able to start from scratch
  • I'm very tempted to just get this done (empty and refill the pool) asap and will speak to the water well guys about this too https://github.com/dwyl/home/issues/79

I called Piscinas Ramos this week and they told me they haven't come yet because they need 2 consecutive days - one to empty and one to refill the pool.

I know there's a dependency on the #79 here but I have a feeling that if I tell them they can't come until we tell them that we're ready (until the well plumbing is ready), they'll then take another 2 months to get to us and by then it'll be Autumn.

So I'm letting this run its course and if they suddenly say 'next week' - then we'll discuss and cross that bridge.

@iteles we aren't emptying the pool and refilling it with agua da compania. I know it would be lovely to have a pool right now for the hot days. But we already have a rediculous Agere bill and I don't want to bleed more money.

Agreed! Like I said, I just don't want to give them the option to forget about us.

This way when we do want to start pressing, the ball will have been in their court for months.

@nelsonic We need to make a comprehensive list of everything that they still need to do so that we can get them to commit to dates against each thing and sign it.

Making this a p1 because we can't let the effect of the legal route wear off because of our inaction.

Progress is being made on re-organising the pool machine room #268 ahead of the Water Well #79 being finalised. ⏳ We have an issue with the liner for the Spa being damaged that requires attention: #274 👨‍🎨 And we need to decide what we're doing about Sr. Pinheiro not delivering the Sauna! https://github.com/dwyl/home/issues/106 🤦‍♂️ i.e. should we just bite the bullet and pay for a new one (€1.3k) #224 💸 and then send a legal letter to recover the funds? ✉️ The health & longevity benefits of having a sauna far outweigh the monetary cost. If daily sauna use increases your cardiovascular health similar to serious exercise and you thus perform better in all areas of your life/work then it's a total no-brainer to spend the €1.3k and stop waiting ...

We need to decide which sauna we want and I will speak to Sr Pinheiro to get it through him. Otherwise, legal letter.

Inês, has Sr Pinheiro given you a catalogue to chose a sauna from? If not, could you please jump in the car and pay them a visit to get one? Cause our space options are very limiting and there will probably only be one (or two at the most!) models he can supply that will fit so we should just get this done ASAP! 🙏
