The roof should help some (though he hasn’t mentioned one at all so this may be some thing to take up with him) but unlesss there is zero space betweeen the Saundra and the walls, rain will still hit the front and get in that way. We should discuss this with him indeed.
@nelsonic We've seen that the roof only partially helps as the water gets in from the front, but the sauna will be a tight fit in the existing structure.
Part of this structure will need to be a glass (for example) sealed shut sliding door across the front of the sauna because the wood of the sauna shouldn't be constantly directly exposed to the elements according to the pool people. With this in place, this will likely not be too much of an issue.
Should we close this issue and open a new one on that front pane with a mention to look out for this (closed) issue?
@iteles we should observe the inside of the enclosure when we site visit tomorrow to determine if further action is required.
@nelsonic It was raining today, can we check this again to be sure please?
@iteles there is a mountain of stuff in front of the Sauna structure which means that a photo is basically pointless. I will take one tomorrow morning if it stops raining. 📸
@iteles was this snag included in the list of defects for Sr. Pinheiro to fix (in the letter that was sent to him?) If not, we could fix it as part of the "finish the outdoors" Jobs-to-be-done in the next 3 months. There is no electrical supply into the Sauna housing ...
One of the benefits of torrential rain during construction is that we get to see how the structures respond to the deluge of water. In the case of the Sauna's "housing", it is retaining water ... 🌧 💧
There is a full-width puddle inside the structure which is not draining:
@iteles should we:
