Plumbing snag list

As we reach the conclusion of the internals of the house, the plumbers have sent us their second to last invoice, taking the percentage paid to 90% of the total owed (though they have not charged us for the additional ponto de esgoto work in the basement).

As such, I'm going through the original contract and drawing up a snag list to review with them before the final 10% is paid:

• [x] First floor bathroom tap leak needs to be fixed
• [x] Tidying up the pipes for installation of machines
• [x] Fix leaking tap in basement bathroom
• [x] Once the bathrooms have been cleaned, 'silicone de temperatura' needs to be put around the shower bases
• [x] Placement of all sanitary equipment (dependent on https://github.com/dwyl/home/issues/95)
• [ ] Bathroom floor drainage caps need to be converted from white to metal
• [ ] Silicon missing around the siphons once they are the correct ones
• [x] Connecting us to new AGERE counter when that comes #88
• [ ] Clarification on how the plumbing works when the recycled water plant is connected to the house
  • [ ] Clarification of how the 'rede de retorno' works and where the 'bomba circulatória' is located
• [x] Fix the leak in the female showers on the top floor
• [x] Carlos asked to 'ligar ao ramal da agua' so he could close up the hole in the wall too
• [x] Procure parts missing for the urinol flushes (see #109)
• [ ] In the basement we're missing silicon around the toilets
• [ ] In the reduced mobility bathroom we're missing the cup for the siphon
• [ ] Tidy up the terrible job of the black silicon around the showers
• [x] Create a 'esgoto' for the 500l heat pump (only the 300l already has one)
• [x] Connect the re-circ to the 300l heat pump as it's only connected to the 500l one at the moment (note: this is dependent on the re-circ box being connected to electricity as per the below)
• [x] Check the water pressure based on the potential incoming water pressure issue caused by https://github.com/dwyl/home/issues/131#issuecomment-657600038

Potentially tasks for Carlos

• [ ] Silicon missing around the siphons
• [ ] Some kind of isolamento for the reduced mobility sanitation box lid
• [ ] Silicone around the sanitas downstairs
• [ ] What can be done to tidy up silicone on showers

Things for us to check

• [ ] Test filling up all the sinks and making sure that the water doesn't leak into the drawers underneath
• [ ] Check that the right hand shower in the basement shower room isn't leaking (there were some water droplets last time I checked)
• [ ] Clean up the sifão in the heat pump room and see if it needs silicon

Electrician-dependent tasks

• [x] The tap in the basement shower room doesn't switch on - confirm there is electricity flowing to it
• [x] Connect electricity to the re-circ box
• [ ] Connect urinol pieces when these are in

Further issues

• In the budget was the placement of the extractors for the WC's - we got to the point where they hadn't done anything and what they had planned wasn't good enough so we did this with our ventilation suppliers to tie the whole system together, but it's still in the final budget
  • The total for ventilation for WC's, kitchen and 'área técnica' is €500 which I suspect is less than what they were kind enough not to charge us for so I'm not planning on raising this unless there are issues

@iteles the electrical connections for the proximity sensing taps (all bathrooms) were connected in a "temporary" way. The elec took one look and said it needs to be "re-done" but then said he had not been instructed to do it ... there appears to be a miscommunication because the plumbers think it's the Electrician's job and vice versa ... 🙄

I'm much more comfortable with the electricians doing this. I'll make sure the people on-site know it's their job to do it.

Checked through all of this on-site and the only addition is that 'silicone de temperatura' has to be added around the shower bases once the bathrooms have had their final clean.

Spoke to Palhagua and they're back from holiday. They requested the final list again which I have sent with the proviso I'd want to revise it with them on site and they will come back to us with dates.

The only dependencies here are:

• The tap #95 has to make its way from the warehouse to @home
• The cleaning needs to be complete for the silicone to be applied around the shower bases

A few items completed today (the most urgent) and the rest to be completed next week, date TBC

Two issues with the basement ("changing room") bathroom sink:

1. The drainage pipe leaks.
2. The sensor tap triggers randomly.

I took a video of it and the resulting puddle on the floor ... 🤦‍♂️

I have shut off the water for the sink to prevent the wooden drawers under the sink from getting damaged.

The plumbers will be here all day Saturday to work on this list, principally on the non-temporary placement of the water 'ramal'.

Plumbers came today and worked on:

• Connecting the ramal de agua (still with a provisional connection because we don't have final water meter yet)
• Silicone applied around all the shower bases
• They couldn't find the cause of the leak in the basement sink from https://github.com/dwyl/home/issues/96#issuecomment-573334489 so for now the water was switched back on and we'll check periodically

Going on a walkthrough with Ricardo from the plumbers tomorrow to create a final list. There are definitely items to be added here.

I've updated the list in the OP with all the things we picked up on our walk-through.

I have emailed the plumbers with only the two most important items so as to make sure the priorities are correct:

• [ ] The urinol flush pieces which are still missing (and I have been chasing for 6 months through the COVID pandemic and warehouse closures 🤦‍♀️ )
• [ ] The missing cup from the siphon in the reduced mobility bathroom which means it's currently unprotected from drain smells

@iteles when can we get the plumbers out to run them through 2 issues? 🙏 (could you call them on Monday to find out their availability to visit to help diagnose the 2 issues? - both leaks ... We don't need them to "fix" both issues on-the-spot just to give us an estimate of when the work can be done. 🤞)
