If only 65k people responded to the StackOverflow survey and 3% of them use Rust, it's only 1,950 people. Could it just be that Rustlang people are more vocal about their preferred language and people using other languages are jaded? https://twitter.com/rustlang has 55k followers. Could it be that inside Mozilla (creators of Rust) they have a vocal community leader who strongly encourages their 1k employees to "vote for rust" in the survey?
