So... I was looking into this earlier today because we have a "bare" veranda @ 2 Palmer's Road...
and it can be argued that Artificial Grass is "environmentally friendly" given that it requires no water (after manufacturing), chemical fertilisers or cutting (energy/fuel for cutting adds up!) not to mention the time required to maintain a lawn...
in many cases the "Artificial Grass" is made from recycled materials and is recyclable... ♻️
see: http://www.treehugger.com/green-food/artificial-turf-versus-real-grass-which-is-greener.html
However the counter argument is that the grass absorbs C02 and provides a habitat for animals... so this does require further investigation by a more competent person...
while we aren't yet in the position to even consider "grass" for "Phase 2",
we do have a rather un-inspiring veranda at the flat that could use some "beautifying".
Yes, we renting the space, but we are also "renting" our lives ... and I quite like the idea of having a "green space" to sit and read and do morning Yoga.
Ordered it:
Yes, it's quite a lot of money, but it's going to look really good. 😉
I did the research. The stuff I have ordered for #2 is the Best! "It looks like real grass!"
Which is going to transform the veranda into an amazing outdoor space for morning Yoga!
