In Portugal, not so much!
In Braga, the nearest hospital looks to be the Hospital de Braga - an 8 minute drive away. This is the most consistent place to give blood. Donor information pamphlet: Panfleto_Banco_de_Sangue_do_Hospital_de_Braga.pdf

It would be great to do some research on giving blood and support anyone who wants to do this by having materials to hand and first hand experience of the service.
We would also need to know how much more complicated the process is for foreign donors (if at all).
Note: This is not about encouragement. Donating blood is a very personal choice and there are also a lot of people who simply aren't able to for many reasons. It's about supporting those who do want to choose this route.
