To figure out what a decent size of print is that could work on a ladies small is as well as male Large, I used the bitHound t-shirts as a guide. This is what a ladies small looks like on a person:
The design (for this one and the hand crafted Meteor t-shirt) has a total surface area of roughly 230mm width x 190mm height.
Based on the dimensions of both the lettering and the icon in the BitHound t-shirt, I tried out a few different options:
1. Same text width as BH tee, (220mm) we get:
Heart icon: 11cm height x 10cm width
dwyl.io lettering: 5.5cm height x 22cm width (not including tail of y)
do what you love lettering: 2cm height (not including tail of y)
2. Same text height as BH tee, (45mm) we get:
Heart icon: 11.5cm height x 12cm width
dwyl.io lettering: 4.5cm height x 18.5cm width (not including tail of y)
do what you love lettering: 1.8cm height (not including tail of y)
3. Same icon height as BH tee, (145mm) we get:
Heart icon: 14.5cm height x 15cm width
dwyl.io lettering: 3cm height x 12.5cm width (not including tail of y)
do what you love lettering: 1.2cm height (not incl tail of y)
I think number 2 might actually be the one that ends up looking most balanced on a t-shirt (I reckon the lettering would be too small in number 3).
@nelsonic What do you think?
