Brilliant.org #48

If you watch any YT STEM content, you've probably seen an advert for Brilliant.org 📺 I've seen so many ads for it that I just tune it out or skip now ... ⏩ I didn't think it was relevant to me. 💭 But it really is! 👶

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brilliant_(website)

"_Brilliant has also been cited by The Atlantic as a catalyst of the "math revolution" - a surge in the number of American teens excelling at math._"

Despite having a .org TLD, this is a for-profit venture-funded company. And they make a ton of money from subscriptions!!

The regular "premium" subscription has the following pricing: https://brilliant.org/premium/ image

But then there is button to "Gift Premium": https://brilliant.org/give-premium/ i.e. Give it to someone else: image

For checkout they allow credit cards:

And PayPal:

But they don't appear to allow me to input a discount code in the checkout ... 🤷‍♂️

Tried clicking on an affiliate link from a YT channel I know partners with Brilliant.org: https://brilliant.org/s/partners/realengineering/?utm_medium=sponsor&utm_source=youtube&utm_campaign=realengineering_150423_plp image

But they disable the links to "Gift" from this landing affiliate page. All the links on this page are to sign-up as an individual and funnel you into their premium subscription.

I'm actually tempted to buy a Lifetime premium subscription for our kids which I will use with them. 💭
