High Quality Web Cam for Teleconferencing while Remote Working #15

Most laptops have rather poor web cams built in. Apple laptops have historically used distinctly average sensors in their "iSight" or "FaceTime" cameras... image In some situations having a 720p camera with a "average" lens quality is not "fit for purpose" e.g. when doing a face-to-face call with a client where we want as much quality as possible.

Logitech makes the best web cams I have used. I've been using a C920 for the past few years and the quality is really good. 😍 see: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-C920-Pro-1080p-Webcam/dp/B006A2Q81M These cameras have a fixed lens but good autofocus capability and built-in stereo microphone. Overall I think they are an essential tool for remote working. (provided the person working remotely has a good/stable internet connection which can support streaming video...)

A similar model is the B910: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-B910-USB-HD-Webcam/dp/B0047IKGIM/ image

The British Heart Foundation is currently selling a Red (Google Plus branded) B910 "Business Model" with a 1080p sensor and Carl Zeiss optics on their eBay store for £35 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371802813328 image

I really like the fact that it's Red and has a privacy filter. I've ordered one to try it. if anyone the @dwyl team would like one of these please leave a comment. 👍
