Drone shots are awesome! 😍 But there are many situations where drones cannot be used. e.g:

  1. it's illegal in crowded area and in many countries. 🙅
  2. way too noisy 🙉
  3. indoors or any other tight space 🏡
  4. drone battery only lasts ~25mins so not good for timelapse. ⏳
  5. at night!! 🌃

Wire/Cable Cams can side-step all these issues!

  1. they can be used virtually anywhere for smooth linear shots 🧈
  2. operate near-silently 🤫
  3. only limitation is the size of the camera 📷
  4. Wiral battery claims to last 10+ hours so time/hyperlapse is Go! 🔋
  5. Low-light shots are possible as the payload is up to 1.5kg e.g: full-frame Sony Alpha. ⭐

Note: this review is balanced because he cautions that the batteries discharge in the case and motor died on him. The battery discharging is a common thing in all camera gear.

The Wiral Lite package with Travel Case is out-of-stock on the website:

$79 for a case bonkers!

I think there are many shots we can get with this we simply cannot get with a Drone! Unless we have an extremely competent (FPV) Drone Pilot, but even then drones are hella noisy!

Really wish I had a rich neighbour, relative or someone who had all these cool toys so that I wouldn't have to sink my cash into them ... 🙃 💸
