Automated Accessibility Testing

Describe the solution you'd like In any design system development process, ensuring accessibility is a must. Accessibility testing tools play a crucial role in validating that the components and interfaces used meet the required accessibility standards. Several tools are available in the market (LightHouse, Axe, Virtuoso…). However, we must decide on the most suitable toolset for our design system and make some decisions on how to implement it in our current CI.

For now, it is expected that our strategy will be to use the following tools:

• axe-playwright (CI pipeline)
• jest-axe (Adding extra coverage to current existing tests)
• @storybook/addon-a11y (This can help you catch accessibility issues early in the development process with an user-friendly interface)

Describe alternatives you've considered Some of the most popular choices are LightHouse, Playwright, Axe and Virtuoso.
