you really need to make a better read mere here's a better one
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
ecu-1.4.0.jar
file.mods
folder located in your .minecraft
directory.essential
folder inside your .minecraft
directory.Navigate to your .minecraft
directory:
C:\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming.minecraft
Open the essential
folder.
Find the file named Essential (fabric_1.x.x).jar
(the x's represent the version number).
Copy Essential (fabric_1.x.x).jar
from the essential
folder to the mods
folder.
Also, copy the ecu-1.4.0.jar
file to the mods
folder.
ecu-1.4.0.jar
to ensure they work correctly before adding other mods..minecraft
folder before adding or modifying mods.latest.log
file in the logs
folder of your .minecraft
directory for any error messages if the game doesn't work as expected.By following these steps, you should be able to install the Essential mod and the ecu-1.4.0.jar
file correctly. Enjoy your enhanced Minecraft experience!

here is the raw version so you can copy and paste it readme.txt
I've been at this for days. I hardly even care about the mod itself; I've moved on entirely to just the principle. I cannot get this to work. I don't have any other mods that aren't just optimization, but I uninstalled all of them to start from scratch and still it doesn't work. Maybe I'm just missing something.
Regardless of whether ECU is installed, the shop operates exactly the same, where you can't equip anything you don't own. I have installed the mod .jar, taken the other .jar out of the /essentials folder and placed it into mods, and tried both ECU and ECU legacy and nothing changes. They are the only mods I have installed right now. Totally unclear of the next step towards a solution. Hope you can provide one.
Edit: After 3 days of trying, merely 10 minutes after I made this post, I got it to work. I'm using 1.20.1 I'll explain how.
If you make the mistake of installing Essentials via the installer, like I did, simply removing the .jar from the mods folder and deleting the Essentials directory isn't enough. Here's what you need to do.
This should work to solve the issue for anyone experiencing the same thing as me. Really appreciate this unlocker; who the hell wants to pay for that nonsense? You're a king.
Does anyone have any idea how to get this to work where other people with essentials installed on servers can see the unlocked cosmetics? Not sure if this is possible, or if it already supposed to happen and I did something wrong when installing
make a PR please

If you want others to see your cosmetics, you have to buy them.
PERCH needing to be made not unlocked on 1.21 when essential is in mods folder
