Emacs 24.1 "support" #13

These changes allow dylan-mode to compile/load in Emacs 24.1. Unfortunately there are still some issues in the DIME/dwank interaction that I haven't been able to resolve. Nevertheless, I figure these changes would be useful for those who just want to get font-lock and such working.

the status of this pull request is not clear to me -- should I look into more detail and merge it? (as in, is it an improvement for emacs 24.1?)

It is an improvement for Emacs 24.1 insofar as it allows dylan-mode to be used: without the changes the file will not even load.

I could not get DIME to work in 24.1. Because of that you may want to ignore it, but if you do that then IMHO the documentation needs to specify that Emacs 24.3 or later is required, not simply Emacs 24.
