Invoking from dwm dmenu with combined arguments exits early #6

Something odd is happening

  1. Invoking pasta -xp file.png from bash works as expected.
  2. Invoking pasta -xp file.png from dmenu_run works as expected.
  3. Invoking pasta -xp file.png from dmenu embedded in dwm exits early?
