@sbrugman does this need to be pegged? I'm not sure if there's an easy way to loosen dependabots versioning requirements.

I'm not sure, CI would normally be useful here. dependabot follows the requirements file, perhaps >= 1.0.1 works. It's only a test requirement.

Alright, let's see if that makes him happy. Are you okay with merging this? I'd like to clean up the outstanding PR's and get a minor release out if you're up for it.
