chafa background transparency not preserved in neofetch #2379

choosing chafa in the config and using a png with transparent background does not result in displaying a transparent background in neofetch. This appears to be an issue on either mine or neofetches part, not chafas as displaying the image with chafa works just fine.

Neofetch 7.1.0 here are the relevant parts of the config: image_backend="chafa" image_source="$HOME/Pictures/example.jpg" background_color=
