What font should be used to get full experience on Windows? #128

Using in Windows, Cygwin inside ConEmu. I've tried Hack and Sauce Code Powerline - I still get a bunch of squares instead of smilies :) What recommended console font includes all the presented special characters?

I'm also wondering what font I should set, I'm currently using VS Code with Cousine for Powerline set for the terminal's font family. I'm now suspecting that it's VS Code's fault here, maybe that's applicable for @TravelingTechGuy as well?
