Restructure and dependency update #23

I also updated the version number to 4.0.0 due to the major structure change. We would also need to update the README to match the new installation instructions.

Stupid questions.. How do I get your pull request into the new "experimental" branch? I would like to test it and fix it at the same time if I can and then merge it into the master branch. I suspect you need to create another pull request against the experimental branch right?

This has been manually merged into the experimental branch (and fixed) and will be tested with various users before merged into the master branch. README install info also needs to be updated.
