Any chance to make it works under freebsd?

not too far of a chance considering this is mostly POSIX.1b C++ and software rendering based, but the video input layer will be missing AFAIK (video4linux2 was ever ported?). It may need some fixing here and there. I can't foresee this task in my own future, but feel free.
