This list is provided to help you build your own GNU/Linux based A/V production environment. Most of the listed software is packaged for Debian, and should be directly installable using your package manager. Software that can be run on other GNU/Linux distributions may also be added to the list. This list focuses on sound, video, lighting and live applications. Software listed here is Free Software unless noted otherwise.

ProjectM ... for the VJ llamas ... Milkdrop & beyond!
Can anyone help with a selection? dynebolic proposes a working setup of one single app per task (one per genre) and tested integrations. We need to narrow down all info to a setup we include. Please suggest how: method? (ranking, tech committee, etc.) and what (final list of software complete with exact version to include).
Been working on this mentally, because it seemed hard to me to find a way to standardize propositions. But I think i found a format!
Since we have a desired Menu structure, anyone who wants to propose something can add it to the menu. If we end up with 2 apps that essentially do the same thing, we can vote on those.
Here is the structure in quesiton:
Thoughts and ideas welcome. Meanwhile i will proceed and fill that menu up on my end.
