btw there is no git history on your repo.
You can just delete the existing and apply the repo on top.

Yes please, send a patch. I want to preserve the history of all changes, so I'd like you to sign-off a commit. I believe your modifications can be rebased easily on current HEAD here, deleting code rather than adding.

Subject: [PATCH] Codebase simplification.
This commit significantly changes the codebase to standardize and
simplify sup's functionality.
The Makefile now conforms to POSIX and forces static linking.
"u" and "g" flags have been removed. The target user is set at
compile-time through config.h
"d" flag functionality has been removed, as this can be mimicked through
the shell by backgrounding the process with '&'.
"p" flag functionality has been removed as well, as this can also be
achieved by using the shell.
The code has been relicensed to GPL-2+.
