I just found this project - How do I connect my homeassistent to my AHC9000 for this to work? The readme's a bit "short on details" ;) Is it using the same connection to AHC 9000 as described here: https://github.com/dkjonas/Wavin-AHC-9000-mqtt ?

then I could probably use this https://www.rototron.info/raspberry-pi-esp32-micropython-tutorial/ - and use an esp32 chip to talk to it :)

We are now on esphome and you can find more info on https://github.com/heinekmadsen/esphome_components/tree/main/components/wavinAhc9000 i also make hardware where there is ethernet and posibility to talk to danish ventilation systems nilan and genvex also esphome
