That's an interesting problem I hadn't seen before...
As a workaround in the meantime, you should just be able to move the files to D: and it should still work just fine. Or you can try the portable version here.
(The About dialog really needs to happen soon: https://github.com/dziemborowicz/hourglass/issues/78.)
Thanks, the portable version is the way to go for me. I don't really benefit from installing.
Thanks for a great timer - minimal functionality, just what I wanted.
I just upgraded to 1.9. I first tried installing over 1.8, then uninstalled and installed from scratch. In both cases, the install ignored my specified target directory. I clicked the option button, and selected a folder on my D: drive where I wanted the program to go. It installed in the default location anyway (C:\Program Files (x86)\Hourglass).
Windows 7 64-bit.
BTW, an About pop-up would be handy. I checked Control Panel - Programs and Features to determine which version I was running.
