For the record, it may not be exactly what you're envisioning, but a few tweaks to the settings can certainly give you a plain block with the numbers counting down and nothing else.
When you right-click the timer (outside the text fields or button area) for the general menu, down under "Advanced options", there's an option called "Window title", and you can choose "None".
Then in the "Themes" part of the settings menu, click "Manage themes" and fiddle with the colors so that your progress bar and progress bar background are the same color. That way it will always show just one solid color around the perimeter. You can match the central background color as well if you want no type of distinct border at all. And you can change the text colors too of course.
I customized mine similarly to the above, except I prefer a clean simple window with just the colored progress bar without any visible numbers, so I matched the text color to the nice background color I chose. (Or actually, I made the text juuuust a hair lighter, so that I can't see it unless I look really closely, so I can still confirm that I set things correctly or check a number if I want to, but otherwise it looks like a simple solid color with a coordinated-colors progress bar around it.)
I hope that helps!
Apple has a really nice, sleek timer called Smart Countdown Timer. No titles, no title bar, just the numbers counting down.
I use Windows. My company would like me to have a simple, sleek timer. Is it possible to create a new skin (interface) for Hourglass that is simple and clean?
As an incentive, my company is willing to pay some for this (not much, but some). I can send you what the Apple one looks like if that's helpful.
Thanks so much,
