This app was built for an older version of Android and cannot be updated automatically.

I see that 2024-05-07 version 3.9 is posted here, for which

the fix the issue with new versions of Android is stated.

However, due to #10 I don't know what exactly the limitation was in the functionality or appearance of the app when running on new versions of Android, and I can't assess what the difference is for the user of version 3.8 versus 3.9 (or 4.0).
