Enable authorization on load for realtime collaboration, in addition to using 
an explicit authorization button.

Unfortunately doing user authorization on load provides a bad user experience 
because the authorization popup triggers the browsers popup blocking.

There is a suggestion at 
https://developers.google.com/api-client-library/javascript/reference/referenced
ocs#gapiauthinit that you can workaround the issue but I couldn't get there 
approach to work for me.  The general best practice seems to be to use an 
explicit button or link anyway for this, so I'm going to stay with that for now.
