Currently the admin-ui will not check for the presence of both search terms across multiple fields. It uses an "OR" rather than an "AND". It is also impossible to search for the presence of an exact multi-word match.
Proposed Solution
Provide the following search options when using the admin-ui search filter:
Use single or double-quotes to search for an exact match
Example: "word1 word2" or 'word1 word2'.
Query would look like: field1 LIKE '%word1 word2%' OR field2 LIKE '%word1 word2%'
Omit quotes to search for the presence of both words. ie. word1 must match at least one field, and word2 must match at least one field.
