New function suggestion for v2 #627

I use alpha 2 version e107.

I have follow suggestion: a. theme/plugin download form e107 siet to our website,like WordPress . We could install it dierectly.

b. site link function coluld put it to admin--manage--.like Link manage.You can also put URL configuation/google sitemap in the same block.

c. Lang file release ASAP. I hope translate it to chinese Taiwan.(I hope include Tinymce...etc)

d. Content- I hope all content could set up release date.

Ad a: Find theme and Fnd plugins are planned for this, I suppose.

b,d - sorry, I don't understand

b- I think is not important now, I just think we could combine Site Link/SEO in new area like Link mange in Mange(block,...we have comment/menu...etc now)

d. I find page/menu, could not set release date like news.

A) This was once functional but has been removed to the technical restrictions (server availability, costs, etc.). Currently it has been fixed temporarily, but it will be improved while e107 v2 moves along into the stable versions. We have some thoughts on that but they are not likely to be put into reality anytime soon.

B) Not really that important at this stage. Feel free to bring it up when e107 is closer to a stable release and it might be considered then :)

C) Language files will take a lot more time as more than 3/4 of the entire code has been rewritten. This means lots and lots of language changes as well. There are still plenty of hard-coded English texts in the code as well. Once the code gets a little more stable and once the language files are progressed further, it will be announced that the language files are ready for translation.

D) This is a good feature request, please submit it as a new issue and I'll label it as a future request.

I'm closing this issue as the other points you mentioned (ABC) are currently not valid feature requests.
